UTUMWA MAPIGANO (African American Restraint Fighting)

One of the secrets of the martial art of Kwa Asilia A Vita Sanaa is African American restraint Fighting (UTUMWA MAPIGANO)

Restraint fighting probably began when the first person that ever found his/her hands restrained fought to free him/herself from that condition. The Bondage fighting that we deal with is that which was created by Grandmaster Rogers to represent how our ancestors fought for thier freedom during the African Holocaust of Enslavement particularly here in North America. But still most of these skills are only useful if the legs are not restrained and represent blackbelt level techniques in Kwa Asilia A Vita Sanaa. The skill of bondage fighting has evolved and lives on in the African American martial arts of Ya or Kwa Asilia A Vita Sanaa called UTUMWA, 52 Hand Blocks or Jailhouse Rock, and Shackle hands etc..
