Terry,
My thoughts on this is this, we should be moving the the same dirrection here. I think we should organizing a action team using the same here, rather than wait for them to get organized and then bring it here. By working togather we could accomplish this in half the time. That of course means they have to recognize teachers here as the same. They should have what is the standard curriculm document available starting with that document then your style you teach. The way I understand this is it about what makes basic Arnis to all of us. We should be on the ground floor working togather and not waiting for someone to do it for us. I propose that its starts with you and I getting others to join us make core team to start working with them.

Marc...
You are absolutly right.. UFMAC is meeting this sunday and i will discuss this with GM Pallen and we need to jump on this. FMA has been recognized here in the US way befor they decided to make it the national sport of the PI. No respect toward our brothers world wide but we also need input on such a big undertaking!
Thanks for responding!!!

Hi Terry & Mark.

Got news for you. "They" are organized and have already brought it here. (smile) The link you provided is not working, but I think this has to do with the "Mataw Guro" movement set up in the Philippines and brought here to the States by MG "Guro Lou" Lledo. UFMAC already has two Mataw Guros: Michael Giron & yours truly. I'm glad there's interest here in the West Coast, because now we can ramp up with UFMAC's brand of non-political concerted effort. We have to be cautious though. Membership in the MG association comes via sponsorship. The sponsor takes responsibility for the new member's actions. Because of this, there are skill, knowledgem and character requirements. Having been with UFMAC since its inception, I know for sure that I can vouch for everyone who's been participating in our (UFMAC's) monthly meetings. So yes, if you're interested, let's put it on the agenda and discuss it.

P.S. to Marc -- Darren's & my terms with USFMAF have reached it;s expiration date (actually about two months ago). We need to step down and bring new blood in. Yours for one. :-) Both Darren and I agree that you would make a great President for USFMAF. So, in case Darren hasn't told you already, you've been nominated,

Terry & Alex,
I know both of you know me and my feeling on Politics. I am as you both know all about the art first. I am glad to know that both Michael and Alex are on board with the project. I would like see the all FMA organizations come and support this process. I know this asking for a lot but I have atlked with Steven and I agree with the dirrection the organziation his heading. I would like to see an outreach to here in California and into Hawaii happen soon.

I think we are in good hands with Gm Alexander France & Master Mike Giron as the designated representatives on the west coast for Mataw-Guro ng Arnis de Mano. I have met and talked with both of them they are all about the growth and the health of FMA
