Well its Monday and back at work today. Went and supported Guru Eds Kali Silat group in Passada yesterday with Guro Roger Agbulos teaching also. I enjoyed watching Guru Ed teach his Indonisian Silat, he is very fluid in his motions with his whole body in rhythem with it. I taught at the end of the day about the use of the live hand, right out of one my articles. I did this because I have that typically found that most people who do FMA do not fully understand the use of the live hand, empty hand knife , etc. Many Teachers will tell there student that the live hand in the most dangerous. But did the student fully listen to the teacher. It true the live hand is the most dangerous, but it is up to you to make your live hand come alive!

On basic level there are 12 things you do with you live hand when fighting. These are:

1. Re-enforcing,

2. Checking,

3. Grabbing,

4. Pulling,

5. Hooking,

6. Vining,

7. Punching,

8. Augmenting,

9. Pushing,

10. Passing,

11. Spreading,

12 Jamming.

The best part is- theres more.... It just gets good now!

Okay. I'll bite...

13. Insulting. (Thinking specifically of one example. --Hey, that's strategy. Make your oponent lose composure.)

14. Flicking (your lit cigarette into his eyes. --Thinking of my friend, GM Lito, who's never without one, even while he's teaching! LOL!)

A lit cigarette is one of the most dangerous weapons on the street. Ask anyone that has ever dealt with criminals. :)

15. Deploying a weapon! =)
