Hello Sifu/Guru Steve.  Hope you're doing well, I think of you often and now can thank you for all you did in Memphis.  I still carry my sticks and step into a stance and do footwork. 65 in a couple of months, and walk in peace thanks to you.  I wish you well.  Also someone mentioned long ago something about the tapes.  I gave them to someone at the school to return to you.  If you did not get them I have copies I made here.  Tally studio and the others.  Be very happy to send them to you.  Regards, and all the best.

We have 2 women graduated next october from our system. We had another 1 graduate in 2007 she is being promoted to guro level this april. If you look at our videos you will see that we go pretty much100% with our female students. Of course just like any student we will build them up to that level 1st!
Our kids are pretty much delt withthe same way!

Hi there,

Thanks for the reply. I thought it would be nice to have a woman's perspective on what we teach. We teach guys so often and I rarely come across a lady who would practice. I guess I wanted to know how an instructor could be an effective teacher with a class predominately occupied by men, make the women feel like they are part of the class. Not just window dressing but truly respected for their efforts. I have many ideas since I am in social services, but we teach weaponry as part of the basic curriculum.

I am always looking to new input to grow from. Thanks again. Take care.
