Pekiti Tersia International Study Group

Pekiti Tersia International Study Group

Pekiti-Tirsia is a Filipino Martial Art developed by the Tortal family of Negros, an island in the central Visayan region of the Philippines and brought to the U.S. in 1972 by Grand Master Leo Tortal Gaje.

Location: Lynbrook, NY
Members: 39
Latest Activity: Jun 10, 2014

Students wishing to join the "Pekiti Study Group" must have attended the Pekiti Seminar hosted at NYSDC on 11/14/09 or
must have the "Basic hand versus Knife" curriculum in the PTI Blue Book.

All other students who wish to attend must go to a recognized PTI instructor ( and learn
the "Basic hand vs knife" material before being allowed to join the Study Group.

As proof, students must either bring their PTI Blue books or be on our list as having attended the Seminar.

The group will focus solely on the "basic hand versus knife" with some Daga 1 & 2 material that was shown at the seminar
This will lead all students nicely into Tuhon's future seminars which will be on the complete Daga 1& 2 material and others in the future.
