I buy my sticks from the U.S on either Kali Gear or KIL Combat Instruments but the cost of getting them delivered to Ireland now is Silly money. The sites around Europe i have bought sticks in so far have been bad quality, so bad id rather use chop sticks. Help would be appreciated, thanks
Will check that out Mani, Thank you for the reply, Respect :-)
:-) thanks Mani
Let me know when you order them anto - i wouldn't mind ordering a pair :)
No Problem Kathleen i will order you a set if i like them
I think that this post will get far more attention after Labor Day weekend break here in the USA.
Note that I have not purchased any sticks from Jeff however, he has been around for a very very long time, so I think his service would be very good, and the reason why I am sending you to him is NOT for rattan sticks. Jeff may have good rattan sticks, and you might try some of them out, but I suggest that you try something other than rattan like the HITS which are made of high impact plastic, and they may not break up as fast.
Sounds good Thomas, Thank You. I will take a look :-)
Look at Pat Omalley out of England.. You can find him at rapidarnis.com.. he has quality sticks and is a good individual to do business with.. Ive known him for 15 yrs and have high regards for his equipment and his training programs
Thanks Bill, I know of Pat and he is a well respected guy in FMA Circle's in Ireland and worldwide. He also has a wealth of experience so his equipment should be very good. The only problem is i ordered sticks already that look identical to the sticks on Pat's site. They are called Black palm tree rattan sticks. These sticks were rubbish and split in half after a couple of sessions. I wont say the name of the site as it wouldn't be fair. I maybe got two bad sets. Anyway im sure the sticks that pat has are better quality but he does himself no favours with the pictures he has online of the canes as they are bad quality photo's. I wonder how much customer's he misses out on due to this... Anyway thanks for your help Bill, i think its best that i email Pat O Malley and ask him personally about the quality of the sticks he sells, i will do this now, Respects Bill,
