Dear Guro Schwarz, this was a dynamite interview and even though it cut out after about 6 minutes, those 6 minutes were very compelling.  I have heard the entire interview on another site and hopefully you can get the entire 21 minutes to run here on  GM Tom Bolden is a one of the real stars of Modern Arnis even though he is not always acknowledged by some in that disipline because he does not closely mimic the late Professor in terms of movement and applications.  Combine the his comments about where he learned his martial arts in Hawaii, his understanding of the compatibility of Hawaiian Kenpo with the FMA of escrima/arnis, plus his additional studies in TKD and Tai Chi, with his extensive DVD library on youtube and you can understand how and why a good number of modern arnis people are afraid to mention his name or his individual approach to Modern Arnis under his organizational name, American Modern Arnis.

I don't want anyone to assume that I am totally impartial when I refer to GM Tom Bolden, because I am not!  He is a close friend and we have shared many conversations about what Modern Arnis is and is not.  There are very few Modern Arnis players in the USA who can BOTH execute and explain the art  at the highest levels of excellence.

Thank you Guro Michael for making this inteview available of this forum.  It needs to heard and discussed because GM Tom Bolden is absolute one of the very best Modern Arnis practicitioners in the world, today.
