More of Wolves, Sheep-dogs and Sheep-In Wolf Territory

The other day I had to go to a rough neighborhood for an appointment at the state one stop/EDD office. That being said I knew I was going into a area where you would say there were many wolves waiting to pray on the weak. there are homeless on the street, poor people digging through the trash, folks panhandling, and crimnal types just kind of lurking around. Instead of wearing office attire that would have set me up for being a target, I dressed like I belonged around there, I wore just the same as when I am down at the docks going to the fishing boats, flannel jacket, watch cap, sun glasses, jeans and old sneekers and walked like I owned the place and was ready for whatever. I was interesting to watch peoples reactions, some moved quickly out of my way, a couple criminal types gave me nod when they saw me looking at them and I had no problems with anyone. Basiclly you could say that as I was in wolf territory, I dressed like one. I strongly believe that by being aware and not setting yourself up you can get through situations (using mental Arnis skills) without having to use your physical Arnis skills.

In other words, go with the flow...and preparedness makes so many things come easier.
