My wife Maria, I and GM Mike attended the 7th Annual Inayan Martial Arts Summer Camp again this past weekend.  Once again, Pangulong Guro Jon Ward put on a first class event with a spectacular group of instructors from within the Inayan Martial Arts organization and from without.  It was great to see Guro Larry Lindenman again.  His insights into real world applications of our arts are second to none.  I got to spend a few hours with him going over predetor behavior and simple yet effective strategies for self defense.  What a treat!  Seeing Shihan Russ Rhodes again was another highlight.  He doesn't just walk into a room,  he blows in like a storm.  His energy is uplifting and his techniques are absolutely devastating.  Shihan Rhodes epitomizes the heights of skill one can attain from disciplined and dedicated study of the arts.  I have also known him to always be a gentleman, a quality lost on many today.  Likewise with Lahong Guro Bill Francis who has such a gentle outward disposition that belies his exceptional martial skill.  And Master Rocky Gomez has to be one of the brightest people I have ever met in the arts.  He absolutely floored me when he noted to the students that I have a fencing background.  I told him that ONCE... last year and he remembered it; unbelievable.  Most of all, Pangulong Guro Jon Ward and his students were unbelieveably hospitable, positive, eager and willing.  I have rarely seen a better group of people.  Maria and I felt so blessed to be welcomed into their midst.  Paramahansa Yogananda intructs his devotees to surround themselves with those who would enoble them.  These are the sorts of people who do just that and I feel so honored to be invited to be among them.  Thank you so much Pangulong Guro Jon Ward.
