Recently I started watching the HBO series “walking dead”. It is a show about apocalyptic events on earth that has a majority of the population turning into zombies and a few remaining humans left fighting for their survival. Turns out the zombies are attracted to human beings and feed on them; the zombies can only be killed by damaging the brain or removing their heads which separates the nerve endings that support movement to their extremities. So far the show has them being killed by the living with guns, arrows, and even with bludgeoning instruments, which are used to smash their heads in. In the most recent episode bladed weapons were used to kill off several of the zombies because the noise from a firearm or any noise for that matter attracts more zombies; which is why the more silently method is preferred. It never fails after watching this show and as I start to dose off in a dream I end up fighting zombies with my trusty bolo in hand. With nearly every attacking zombie I am attacking their heads with either an overhead #1, high #3 or high #4 strike but sometimes, albeit rarely, in my dream they are terminated with my 12 Gauge Mossberg or my 40 cal Springfield. But more often than not I am using bladed weapons to engage my lifeless attackers. I have yet to see the zombies themselves yielding any weapons which make for a much easier plan of attack or defense. My questions are:

1. As martial artists do you find yourself dreaming of techniques or fight sequences in your sleep?
2. Do you believe there are hidden lessons that can occur while we sleep?
3. Tied to second question, what techniques do you use to expound on the lesson learned from the dream?
4. And lastly, am I just an odd man out because I nearly always dream about combat?

I love the governer.. that being said to quote a judo master/cop i know..

Zombies are predators.  No one fights a zombie.  You don’t punch a zombie in the gut.  You don’t deliver 17 Krav knees to its zombie nuts.  You render a zombie incapable of hurting you.

How is that done

Breaking long bones and brain trauma. Same principle applies to a tweaker who is shrugging off pain.
