We went out to Jesse Dansells School for the Brotherhood tournament. We brought all of our equipment and supplies to run a small tournament. The tournament was set up for his school to practice FMA, it turned out that there also a Karate Tournament planned as part of this event. We had a good turnout for a small venue. The Karate went on at the same time as ours till 230pm when we were done. Most of Jesse's students fought in the tournament including his Guro Terry that was 10 from his. Only two of the women students did not fight. I brought my son & I, Jesse and his two boys, and four of my students. This event was organized so that his student could get chance to spar and get feel for what it is like to fight with the gear. His kids were really great giving it their best with padded stick sparring. We had great match between my student Ray and Jesse's student Shannon in a live stick three round continous match. Our live stick is done with 3/4 inch rattan, 3 node labasika with skin, not kilm dried rattan used by WEKAF. All I can say is you better be able to block and counter or just get bruised.
