Everyone knows Rattan sticks have a tendency to eventually blow out. The question is: how long will your set last you? Do you find yourself buying sticks once every month or two? Wow, equipment is all acquired, now if the student can just get the transportation thing ironed out - my little 1987 Mazda B2000 has been involved in a collision and it is a real mess. I've got a motorcycle currently being paid for to do the 5-hour round trip to Ft. Collins each Saturday through the Summer months, but can't have the joy of the new toy until all payments have been made. It's a… Continue

A common statement by individuals who lack the knowledge and understanding of weapons training is that "you do not always have a weapon."

Quote paraphrased from the late great Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and trainer, Carlson Gracie. He said,"Punch a jiu-jitsu black belt in the face once and he becomes a brown belt, punch him in the face twice and he becomes a purple belt." Philippines Trip
