In any form of fighting, the most important thing is the ability to control the fight. This ability includes the ability to influence the outcome of the fight. Uncertainties is the main reason why people die in a fight, but if you were able to…

True or just part of the old Filipino Folklore

Posted on May 23, 2010 at 1:10am 15 Comments

True or just part of the old Filipino old folklore, my experienced was somewhat strange or rather mystical. When I was a kid, my parents sent us to our ancestral home in Negros Oriental, Philippines. We had to spend the whole of summer to learn the ways of the country side. All this includes farming, fishing, and some ways were rather a bit enchanting. My great grand parents, they're both old already that time but amazingly still able. My great…

Igsoon,

It fills the heart with pride and honor to know that a lot of foreign martial arts practitioners are studying the art of the stick and the blade. It is equally heavy on the shoulders of those who are entrusted with the duty and responsibility to propagate and nurture the art for the future generations of this earth to benefit.

PADAYON IGSOON NGA LUMAD. MABUHAY KA!!!

Dear Igso,

I have a question. I meet a Master here in Manila in front of Camp Aguinaldo by the name of Frank Subrino. He is the trainer for the Philippine Army and the Philippine Marines in the Art of the Blabe. He said the his style is WEDO and his Grandmaster is Jesus Pallorina. Is he in any way related to the art of which you are also using? Do you know each other or it just so happen that you have similar name in your style? Anyhow, I am just curous. It just so happen that I was training in front of Camp Aguinaldo and he happen to pass by our training camp and we were introduced to each other by a common friend.

Padayon mga lumad, MABUHAY!!!

Dear Bro,
I wrote the bill creating "Arnis" as the national sports in the Philippines. This bill now became a law in our land NOW and I am proud of that accomplishment.

Para sa atong mga lumad, MABUHAY!!!
