I was just informed via Jeff Finder: great grandmaster Al Novak has passed away, allegedly the victim of a hit-and-run driver. This marks the final passing of a generation of martial art pioneers here in California, with the passage of Wally Jay, Ming Lum and now Al Novak all within the past few months. See More

They scheduled our instructors ceremony that morning @ 11:00 the same day because Dexter is out of the area in august... We still plan to be their by 2:00 to do our portion of the summit.
