I taught that empty hand training will be part of your overall syllabus. Boxing, kickboxing, mauy thai can be used in eskrima as well, if U come from this background.Dumog can come from jijitsu also, so it is a complete system.

The footwork and angles are excellent here this is what we should be looking for in knfe sparring all the time. Without footwork we're going to get stabbed period, same withe empty hand vs knife. Well I made my two cents of comment hope it helps

What styles do you practice?
Just escrima, my teacher called it just escrima, single and doble stick, dagga, dagga Y daga, mano mano, with elements of Mauy Thai and WU SHU for advanced students. At our club we practice karate, taiji chen style, kickboxing kobudo and of course escrima. We practice the chen style broadsword, and lots of karate forms

Escrima silat international

Hi
I am an instructor in Ireland and I have been involved in martial arts since 1973. We have recently joined up with an excellent escrima group called Escrima silat internationa.l We will be working with Liam Mcdonald an experienced escrima silat instructor here in eire. We also practice kickboxing, karate jitsu mixed style, pure shotokan karate, also taiji and kobudo.
