Andres Bonifacio is the hero of the filipino revolution and founder of katipunan. He become a fierce supported of filipino freedom. When Jose Rizal was executed in 1896, Bonifacio declared the Philippine's independent from Spanish rule. The spaniards pursued him, and he fled into hiding. Emelio Aguinaldo took over the filipino army. Aguinaldo had him arrested. Andres Bonifacio was executed under the orders of Emilo Aguinaldo on May 10, 1897. He was the filipino war hero and that's the start of putting the Aguinaldo shrine in city of Manila as the "Liwasang Bonifacio". He uses tabak or sundang or itak, and pointed bamboo weapons as you can see in his hand.
