Visyan method verses Illicano methods
I am currious on some of the techincal differences between the two methods of wrestling. I know that both are based on no-gee, against a person who is sweatty and maybe oily. I know that the mountain visyan method I was taught uses hooks sweeps, body redirrecting, chokes, throws and joint-dislocation/ brakes. I am curroius how the Illicano are based.

Correct me if I'm wrong but my insructor told me the basic form of wretling or grapling back home is called DUMOG where
you do all the braking and hitting all the vital spots but you train in the rice fields against a water buffalo ? -

My teacher called it Bugno/and I have heard also as Buno which means wrestling in Visyan, he said that Dumog is a term from Negros. Reguardless of what is called the mechanics of Filipino wrestling is simular with each area having local style.
