AMBUSH ~ (A Poem)
AMBUSH
Our eyes meet in a hazy rage, a bleeding is soon to come
With the cat like shift and a canted gate getting closer or farther for some
Fear not the impending blow, your fate is ordained from above
So take heed and breathe a willowy gasp for the ambush is sure to come
Some say he was taken with his back turned wide as his enemy dealt his death
I say he died as the vermin he was, whether giving his back or his chest
"Why would you say this? How do you know?", the questions poised from the crowd
I know it as such as I heard him scream out, I ambushed the sod that you know
"Murder, Murder!" they screamed from the stand, all eyes affixed on their truth
I shot them a look and smiled and took their souls and truth as they knew
What murder is this? he was due for his path, I simply ended his time
Not in his back, as some may say, I ambushed his soul, making it mine
"A wretched man" they cursed, the touts echoing from the few
I laughed and chortled and blew them a kiss as I wiped my blade in the morning dew
Be careful what you say, be careful what you do, the ambush can soon find you
