Mr. Johns,
I am a student of Datu Kelly. He introduced me to Modern Arnis in 1994. NSI, as most of us know has very strong roots in Modern Arnis. I was lucky enough to attend a few seminars with the Professor and met Roland Dantes when he was in Washington state. He stayed with Datu Worden while here to pay respects to Prof. Presas. In addition, I have also trained with Remy Jr. for a few years, but still stay on the NSI path. -Its all good-!

Réal -- I was wondering if someone could explain this? Prof Remy Presas was doing submissions with a single stick and comparing De Cadena (or De Cadeira?) and Réal is his videos on Modern Arnis.

Hi Brian,
Thought I would join since I was taught by GM Roland Dantes whom I am sure you are aware, was a close friend and student of Professor Remy A. Presas. Through the introduction of GM Roland, I have also been fortunate to meet and train under GM Vic Sanchez and GM Rodel Dagooc. Additionally I have met other seniors of Modern Arnis in the Philippines,

Hi Dan, good to see you here. Is it NSI Modern Arnis that you, by chance, are practicing ? I'm associated with the IMAF and train with Master Chuck Gauss.

Hello fellow Canadian.
Practice a variant of Modern Arnis out west on the prairies. Thought I'd join your group,as its the closest to what I do. Interesting blog.
