Class Schedule for Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 Location: San Joaquin Delta College, Cunningham Lounge 10:00-11:00 Full Contact - Instructor (Butch) Remainder of the Instructors will teach students not doing full contact. 11:00-12:00 Empty Hands - Focus Mitts & Cadena De Mano Drills Please bring gloves for striking. Instructors please also bring curriculum for reference. Lee Gagnon will be holding a seminar in March, so we need to start working on the Cadena De Mano curriculum

Instructors / Graduates please bring your curriculum folders to practice. Please start using these as reference as you teach, so we can gauge progress, as I would like to start testing some of our students.

NOTE:
It was suggested that competitors who participate in the UFMAC affiliated tournaments accumulate points and be eligible for National Championships. The process of point accumulation needs to be discussed. Professor Jordan will assist as AMAPA has a similar process. A suggestion that awards be given during an Annual UFMAC Banquet also needs further discussion. One option is to have it the same time as the AMAPA/NBL banquet, to cut costs.

It was mentioned at the meeting that a monthly FMA tournament would be beneficial.

UFMAC FMA FIGHTING TEAM It was suggested that UFMAC have a tryout for a competition team to represent UFMAC at different out-of-town tournaments. To be discussed further.
ANNUAL FMA SEMINAR UFMAC to hold an annual seminar lead by UFMAC Instructors in order to encourage unity within the FMA Community.

NEW BUSINESS
MARKETING TEAM It was discussed that UFMAC assign a person or group of people as a Marketing team for the task of promoting UFMAC and its vision. The goal is to encourage new membership and emphasize incentives.
MEMBERSHIP DRIVE Professor David Ducay, Treasurer, to create membership cards and
inquire about obtaining an UFMAC seal.
