Event Description
UFMAC will meeting to discuss :
The 2010 tournament schedule,seminars, workshops, as well as rules, regulations and what types of tounament fighting.
The creation of the official logo/banner and website.
There will be a "Saltikan" sparring seesion after the meeting conducted by GM Pallen.
"Saltikan" armorless full-contact stickfighting with flexible rattan weopon.
Our Mission Statement reads:
The purpose of the council is to provide an open forum for the preservation, promotion and unification of the Filipino Martial Arts community!
We encourage all FMA practitioners to attend!

UFMAC,
It is a great honor to be included on the invitation list for a UFMAC meeting. I would love to attend the UFMAC Meeting, but might not be able to. I am currently budgeting for #1) FMA/MA 6 days a week, #2) to go to HK to meet GM Ving Tsun Ip Ching in March, and #3) to get to Silicon Valley, California in May/June 2010 for job interview(s) assuming all works out.
While here in Chicago, Illinois I train FMA with Guro Nate Defensor (Defensor Method) and Guro Mike Eugenio (Headhunter Sports). Currently, I am #1) working on a SEO, Search Engine Optimization review and advertising strategy for both Guros, which I hope to submit a generic "pattern" for to the UFMAC and MyFMA.net, #2) will be looking for opportunities to spread both FMA artists to other martial arts dojos, and #3) would like to have at least one cookout amongst all practitioners in the Spring so as to bring the community together and am just starting to look at what that might take. Looking to see if we can do something here with the Rizal Center to drive FMA.
